It gives me great joy and peace to work alongside our animals grazing and frolicking in the field with no slaughter date in their future. For me, growing vegetables and tending the land on an animal sanctuary inspires me to do the work with love and kindness. Whether it is growing flowers to feed the bees, observing and respecting natural processes or tilling the soil as gently as possible, all are done in with concern for the welfare of animals and all beings. Serving this purpose makings growing food even sweeter.
